What I Got For Christmas

So heyyyyy everybody! Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year (even though christmas was a month ago..). But as you know I am not the best at keeping these things regular! My internet is shocking and so many other reasons, but I am so done with explaining why cos it must seem like I am  making these all up but I swear I am not lying! I always have a valid reason as to why I haven't blogged.. Because trust me if I had the free time and the internet, I would be blogging 24/7!

So yes this is late, but somebody asked me to do a 'what I got for christmas' post so, better late than never! I just thought I would show you guys a few of the things family and friends got me for Christmas. I spent my christmas this year in Oman with my family, so it was really weird waking up to sunshine and heat instead of putting on dressing gowns and looking at the snow outside. I love the traditional christmas, so it was really strange not having that this year. But, it was a nice change because I got to see my family :3 Anyhoo, here's my lil Christmas post and I hope you guys enjoy it.
PS. Sorry if there are spelling mistakes, I am typing without my glasses so its a bit hard to see if everything is right lol. Enjoy!

Victoria's Secret
I got a couple of makeup bags from VS for Christmas, because you know, you can never have enough! One of them is like a little case, and the other 2 are more for putting in a handbag. I keep my makeup that I use everyday in the case, and I usually bring the larger handbag one when I am staying in my boyfriends or a friends house. And the little one is perfect for putting in your handbag, or keeping the essentials with you when you go to college or work.
I also got the 'mango temptation' fragrance mist, which is to die for. It keeps you smelling fresh all day and the mixtures of the scents in it are just beautiful.

MAC makeup
Before this makeup, I was a MAC virgin. Yes I am aware how terrible that is. For Christmas, I got this gorgeous smokey eye palette, and the design on the front is just beautifffuuulllll. So vintage and so me. The name on it just says 'keepsakes'. The colours in the palette go really well with my dark brown eyes, but I am sure they would look good on any eye colour!
I also got a retro matte lipstick in shade 'ruby woo' and a lip pencil in shade 'cherry'. These two go really well together, but I have used the lip liner with other lipsticks that I have!!

Bits & Bobs
One of the nice things about christmas are the stocking fillers. Santa knows me too well by putting in chocolate and books! All of these presents are amazing! Who doesn't love a good gluten free cook book and Frozen? ;)

Clothes etc.
Most of the clothes below are from Forever 21, Garage and Zara. Feel free to ask where each item is from!

Crosley Record Player
And I saved the best 'til last! My boyfriend got me a Crosley Record Player! I love it so much! The colour is like a 60s blue and the record player itself is like a vintage travel case. It is so beautiful and the sound from it is amazing! He also got me my favourite album on vinyl, Taylor Swift 1989. It was such a good idea for a christmas present. I totally recommend this to everyone, guys and dolls!

So thats all from me. Hope you enjoyed this late christmas post! Hope you all had a good christmas and are enjoying the new year.  Thanks you guys.

Love,

Apocalips Please

Hellllarrrrr!! I am in love. Apocalips please?? (muse reference) But I have to say oh my gosh I love this product so much. This is the Rimmel lip lacquer called 'Apocalips' in shade 400 Big Bang. I wore this on my graduation, there's an outfit post somewhere on the blog! But anyhow, my friend Aisling did my makeup for my graduation and actually gave me this product and now I am in love with it (check out her blog btw,  ilovebarrystea.blogspot.com ).

Like I have said, I am in love with this. I have really dry, chapped lips all the time so when I wear lipstick it gets really flaky looking and comes off really fast. But because this is a lip lacquer, it is so perfect for my lips! It stayed on all night for my graduation and I didn't need to top it up once. It also looks so pretty and glossy and I can't even describe how much I love this. Just buy this product and you won't regret it. I actually think I am gonna go to boots to get some more in different colours! They just stay on so well and they make your lips look so pouty and pretty.

Buy it ladies, I swear you won't regret it! :D It comes in so many different colours and at the moment they're on offer in boots and they are about €7.95? I will put the link below.

Thanks for reading guys, hope you liked this post and I hope I will inspire you to get it! If you do get it, take a pic, put it on instagram and tag me in it so I can see your looks! :)

Blog again soon!

Garnier Skin Naturals Review

So my mum picked me up these in the shops on offer so I thought I would give them a try. I heard everyone is going on about the Garnier Micellar water (which I have yet to try!), but these 2 products are just amazing. There is the Softening Cleansing Lotion and the Softening Toner.  All I can say about these is wow. I have been using them for about a week and they definitely do what they say on the tin!

Naturally, I have extremely dry skin. To a point where I have to get a moisturiser for dry skin, foundation for dry skin and I am constantly using thermal water. But after using these 2 products for a week, my skin is nearly normal, only a tiny bit of dryness, and the added bonus, its a soft as silk. No lie. People are stroking my face.

Firstly, I use the Softening Cleansing Lotion. Apply a small amount to a cotton pad and gently wipe all over your skin.  It removes makeup, including waterproof and thick black eyes, and it does exactly what it says on the bottle, 'Goodbye dry!'. This product is enriched with Cherry Tree and Moringa extracts, and its velvety lotion with no greasy feeling leaves skin feeling comfortable, soft and fresh. It even smells beautiful on your skin! This is definitely my new go-to makeup remover!

After I remove my makeup, I use the Softening Toner. Previously, I have been using a toner by No.7, which was still amazing, but the Garnier toner is a perfect match for my skin. Again, apply to a cotton pad and gently cleanse your skin, applying extra care to the most sensitive and dry areas. Also enriched with cherry tree and moringa extracts, it soothes dry skin and its soft and velvety texture leaves your skin toned, perfectly cleansed and supperrrrrrrrr soft!

Not only does it help my dry skin and leave it flawlessly smooth, it has also reduced redness in my face. Usually areas around my nose and cheeks would be quite red, but these products have reduced it dramatically. In one week. No talk of a lie. I am in love with this product and I recommend to anyone with normal to dry skin. You can pick it up in any drugstore and I am pretty sure my mum picked it up in Tesco! She said it wasn't expensive at all, but I am really sorry I forgot to ask mum exactly how much it was! I am sure it is no more than €5/6!

Thanks for reading! I hope you will soon have skin as soft as mine!

Pink is the new Black

I love pink. Pink is perfect. It is such a beautiful colour. But this summer it is all about the hot pink shade of pink. I keep seeing it everywhere and I cannot get enough of it! The colour can be combined with a lot of other colours, or can be added to a simple colour like black or white to give it the pop that it needs! This colour is just so fun and it didn't take me long to look for some gorgeous, cheap hot pink clothes and accessories. Hope you enjoy this trend as much as I do, I know for sure that this summer my wardrobe has to contain this colour! Enjoy!
