Mixi-ing it Up.

So as you all know I have been in the Middle East for the past 2 weeks and I am finally home! It was so hard to post anything because 1)we only really had wifi in starbucks and 2) I found it really hard to find the time to take any photos! My parents had us constantly on the move in the mornings and evenings and during the day my sister and I would usually relax by the pool.

But anyways! I have mentioned in a previous post that in Middle Eastern countries it is respectful to cover up a lot. So when I was packing I had no idea what to bring because its too hot for long trousers, disrespectful to wear shorts. So for the one of the evenings, I decided to pull out an old mixi dress that I bought for my holidays in Spain 2 years ago when everybody was wearing mixi skirts and dresses.

I forgot how much I loved this dress. Its super light, which is good because its always well above 30 degrees celsius, the colour is beautiful and it was perfect for the culture over there. When I went out I paired it with one of my fav kimonos from New Look, a brown tassel bag which belongs to my sister and some strappy wedge heels from Next. I thought I looked quite nice and I really loved this outfit and felt comfortable wearing it!

Once again sorry pics aren't the best. I think I am going to have to invest in a new camera and a tripod or something. Once I get a job, which is impossible to find one. But one day! Or I may have to steal my boyfriends camera... bahaha!

Anyhoo, hope you enjoyed this post. Going to post again later because I missed out for so long!
Thanks!

Black and Blue

Hello my lovelies! I finally have wifi! For those of you who don't know, I am currently in the Middle East in Oman in a city called Muskat. I flew into Abu Dhabi, I spent 2 days in Dubai and now I'm here in Muskat! It's such a beautiful country, but oh my gosh it is so hot! During the day it is well over 40 degrees celsius and at midnight last night, for example, it was 36 degrees. The heat is nice but you reaaaallllyyyy have to protect your skin, which is hard because you want to wear as little clothing as possible because it is just soooo hot! And that leads onto problem number 2, in Oman and a lot of places in the Middle East, it is respectful to cover up your shoulders and wear bottoms that aren't too short! So its sort of like a catch 22. You have to wear a lot of clothes, but at the same time you are sweating in the heat.

So when I showed up here, I brought dresses, shorts and normal tops. But you sorta want to cover up because you feel uncomfortable if you don't. So I went into H&M and I bought some light material shorter trousers (as seen in the photos) and I also bought some genie pants (which I am currently wearing as I type this!). Sorry these pictures are so bad btw, my sister is 13 and took them and is only learning how to take pictures properly! But anyhow!

So these trousers are from H&M and they cost me 7.900 Omani Reals?? So that works out at about €14 ish? But I love these trousers! They are high waisted, fitted and match pretty much everything. I wore this outfit out to dinner but I had like a wrap/kimono type thing on my shoulders. The top is from New Look and I bought it in Dubai. I can't remember how much it cost but it wasn't that expensive! Shoes were from New look back home in Ireland and the necklace is from River Island. This outfit was super comfy and was a good compromise to the usual dresses out to dinner!

Hope you like my cringe photos and my outfit! If you have any questions about Oman, the Middle East, my outfit, anything, don't be afraid to ask! Have any of you guys been to the Middle East and what did you think??

When I get back I may do a haul post of things I bought here? I'm not too sure!! Let me know what you'd like to see!

Thanks guys!

Instaposts - Photos from my Summer!

Hola guys. Just a quick post today cos I am busy packing and what not! But just thought I would put a few photos up from my instagram and show you how my summer is going! It consists mainly of photos of food, but i've really just been relaxing in the garden, reading books, chilling with my friends, eating, chilling with my boyfriend... And i'm going away next week to the Middle East! The weather has actually been really good here in Ireland!!

I really can't wait to go to the Middle East! I will be flying into Abu Dhabi, then we're staying in Dubai for a while and then staying in Oman for most of the 2 weeks. I hope to do loads of photoshoots and things while I am over there, I am not sure how internet is going to be but hopefully I can get a few posts up while I am over there!!

Anyhoo hope you enjoyed these little snaps of my summer, and maybe you could check out my instagram (of course my username is xxxlmgigglesxxx!) and press that little follow button, especially if you want to see some holiday snaps of me in the Middle East! Also check out my weheartit, been putting up a couple of my own photos lately so maybe give me a follow on there too.

Let me know how your summer is going and what you've been up to!

Apocalips Please

Hellllarrrrr!! I am in love. Apocalips please?? (muse reference) But I have to say oh my gosh I love this product so much. This is the Rimmel lip lacquer called 'Apocalips' in shade 400 Big Bang. I wore this on my graduation, there's an outfit post somewhere on the blog! But anyhow, my friend Aisling did my makeup for my graduation and actually gave me this product and now I am in love with it (check out her blog btw,  ilovebarrystea.blogspot.com ).

Like I have said, I am in love with this. I have really dry, chapped lips all the time so when I wear lipstick it gets really flaky looking and comes off really fast. But because this is a lip lacquer, it is so perfect for my lips! It stayed on all night for my graduation and I didn't need to top it up once. It also looks so pretty and glossy and I can't even describe how much I love this. Just buy this product and you won't regret it. I actually think I am gonna go to boots to get some more in different colours! They just stay on so well and they make your lips look so pouty and pretty.

Buy it ladies, I swear you won't regret it! :D It comes in so many different colours and at the moment they're on offer in boots and they are about €7.95? I will put the link below.

Thanks for reading guys, hope you liked this post and I hope I will inspire you to get it! If you do get it, take a pic, put it on instagram and tag me in it so I can see your looks! :)

Blog again soon!

Festival Fun!

Hey guys! Sorry it's been a while! I am soooooo busy at the minute. I'm going away to the middle East soon and we've been packing like crazy and buying clothes for my little sister cos she is growing so fast. But yeah.. I am so very sorry for the lack of posting!

Anyhoo! I saw Arctic Monkeys Saturday last week and the previous Saturday I was at the Longitude Festival for a day with 2 of my best girlies. For Arctic Monkeys, I posted a photo of my outfit at the bottom and there's one of me and my boyfriend there. I got up soooo late on the morning and had like 10 mins to get ready so I never got to take many photos! But anyways, I have a few photos up there!!

Then Longitude! I have posted my outfit belowwwww :D It was such an amazing day! Hozier, Sam Smith, The 1975, Haim, Disclosure.. they were amongst the many amazing people there! Pretty much everything in my outfit is Penneys/Primark, but the belt is New Look and the bag is vintage.... Twas mother's in the beautiful era of the 90s <3 its actually so weird because when I was at Longitude I got asked loads where I got my bag from! The woman who searched the bags wanted to keep it. It is pretty cool though. So thanks mamma for the bag if you're reading this! Ps. it's not real fur lol.

So yeah! Sorry it's short I really don't know what to say lol. But there ya go! Hope you enjoyed this little post!

Thanks guys!
