Roses are Red, Violets are Blue

Hello my lovelies! So sorry it's been a while since I posted, I was in the UK and forgot my laptop and there was a loss in the family and we were at a wedding and I am just super busy at the minute. But I have a nice little post here from the wedding that I was at. Its just an outfit post of what I wore to the wedding. It was a beautiful, warm day in Leeds in the UK and just perfect for a wedding. Surprisingly, this was the first wedding I have ever been to! I wasn't really sure what to wear so this is what I came up with!

The dress is a little strapless dress that I bought in a boutique years ago. It literally says 'Blue' on the  label so to be honest I am not sure what brand or anything it is!

The blazer is shockingly from Primark/Penneys! The day before we left to go to the UK for the wedding I spent my whole day looking for a blazer or jacket that's smart for a wedding but also matches my outfit, of course! And I was just picking up a few bits (spoiler: little penneys haul coming soon) and I found this just on it's own somewhere :P I bought the blazer for €16. It was such a good price for a good quality blazer that looks nice too!!

I'm not going to say much on the bag and shoes because I have a blog post from my graduation talking about them! But the bag is from Baratts and the shoes are Guess. The pink embellished pumps are my sisters and are from New Look.

Thanks for reading this post guys, I have a few more coming but with everything being so busy not sure when i'll have time to put them up.

Thanks again!

Gluten Free Cinnamon Cookies!

Autumn is by far my favourite season of the year (or for other countries, 'Fall' lol). And I feel like the best way to kick off the Autumn season is to bake something with cinnamon in it. The house just feels so warm and cosy with the smell of freshly baked goods and cinnamon lingering in the air. So I thought it would be a nice idea to do a quick little recipe for you guys. Enjoy!

Ingredients:
- 3oz margarine
- 2 teaspoons of vanilla essence
- 5oz gluten free flour
- 5oz sugar
- 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon
- 2 egg yolks
- a dribble of milk
- a little bit of olive oil
- a little bit of flour to roll out pastry
- a sprinkle of sugar at the end to decorate

Method: PREHEAT OVEN TO 150 DEGREES CELSIUS

1) Put margarine, vanilla essence, flour, sugar, cinnamon and egg yolks into a large mixing bowl.  I used a hand whisk to blend everything together in the bowl until the mixture formed into a ball. You can also use a bit of milk to help the mixture stick together.

2) Sprinkle some flour onto a clean surface and place the dough ball onto the surface. Knead it for a bit and then roll it out into a thick slab.

3) Once you have the thickness you want, use a cookie cutter and cut into shapes that you want. Line a baking tray with baking paper and place cookies onto the tray.

4) Brush the tops of the cookies with olive oil and put in the oven for 15/20 mins. Whenever they start to turn golden.

5) Once they're out of the oven, sprinkle with sugar and cool down on the tray. Enjoy!

Hope you guys enjoyed this little post! I have a lot going on with results from my exams and college offers! Hope you enjoyed this.

Thanks

Pretty In Pastel - Missguided Wishlist

It's raining. It's windy. It's freezing. I'm sitting here in bed thinking about what I want to do my next blog post on and it hit me. I want to do something to brighten up this dull day, so why not do something I have always wanted to do, a Missguided wish list! But to make it better, I want to do one that only contains pastel colours, just to add a bit of colour to such a horrible day.

Missguided has the most amazing clothes. All the fashion bloggers out there are constantly buying things from Missguided and posting them on their blogs. They have clothes on their site to suit nearly every kind of fashionista, which is what I think makes it so successful. Their unique designs and beautiful colours are always bang on trend and they always have something you're looking for, maybe just that one piece of clothing that your wardrobe is lacking. You can always rely on Missguided.

So here I have found a few things on the website that are pastel in colour. All of these items are currently in fashion, I see friends on Facebook wearing things similar and all of the colours are gorgeous and bright. I have also seen some of my favourite fashion bloggers like 'Luisalion', 'Swaglen' and 'FashiionCarpet' wearing pastel clothes from Missguided. So how could I possibly not do a Missguided pastel wish list? Only if I had the money to buy the clothes on the wish list! So anyways, here it is.

Middle East Shopping Haul

So here it is! My Middle East shopping haul! First thing I want to mention is the pineapple playsuit pictured is from Ireland, I bought it just before I left and I never got to show you guys so I thought I would quickly include it in here. Second thing is, yay my shopping haul post is here :D I bought some really beautiful clothes while I was over there (and accessories) which I would say are available in Ireland also or online. As usual, camera quality is crap and I need a new camera so the colours may be a little bit different in the pictures compared to what they are like in person. But they're close enough! So I did a bit of shopping in Dubai and a bit in Muskat in Oman and I got a few lovely things, all at affordable prices! I hate buying things that are expensive (once in a while is okay!) because I always feel I can buy 2 things with the same amount of money, or a few little bits... if you get me? Okay going off topic!

So anyways, here are the things I bought while I was away! I tried to find shoes and a bag for my debs but the shoes are all sandal type heels over there so I couldn't really find anything. Which sucks cos my debs is in a week! Besides I barely had time to do a lot of shopping because that isn't really what I was over there for :P I couldn't even buy presents or do my traditional buy a postcard everywhere I travel thing.. ooh I should do a post of all the postcards I have and the stories behind them.. would you guys like that? OFF TOPIC AGAIN HAHA! I'll start talking about my shopping haul now.. :P

One of the first things I bought there was this kimono. I bought this in Dubai in New Look and it cost me the equivalent of about maybe €12? I think I have seen this in stores in Ireland so if anyone wants to buy it I am sure you can! This kimono is so light and was the perfect 'cover up' in the middle east. The colours in it are so beautiful and vibrant. The pinks, purples and blues stand out really well on the navy background. The pattern can be seen a bit more detailed in the close up picture. I really love this kimono and would definitely be one of my favourite pieces I bought on holiday. Another kimono to add to my collection!

I was in Forever 21 in Muskat and saw some crop tops displayed on a table thing and I remembered how badly I needed some. Crop tops are perfect to match with anything highwaisted, and if you're confident enough you can show off your stomach. But I have a few things at home I want to wear out (including a new skort which I totally forgot to put on the blog!) that would look really good with a crop top. So I saw a display table in h&m covered in crop tops but I really liked the colour of this one! It looks pink in the photo but it is actually firetruck red! I NEVER wear colours like this, but I have a pair of red heels that would go perfectly so I couldn't refuse! And the best thing about this is, it was the equivalent of €3ish on sale! How could I refuse?

Just a quick note on this! Bought this in Penneys before I left for, I think, about €11? It is a cute, comfortable playsuit that has the cutest pineapples on it. Pineapple prints are really in at the moment and it is super adorable so once again, I had to get it!

I loveeee this one! So we went over to Oman and I realised I had only packed a few bikinis and there was a pool which we were in everyday. So I had to get another one. Had to lol. I got this gorgeous one in H&M but I can't remember how much it was.. it was under €20 anyway.  I absolutely love the pattern on it and the colours are so pretty as well. I tried on 2 different size tops and I accidentally bought the one that was too small, so when I was wearing it I was a bit conscious everything was going to fall out... if you get me... haha! But besides that, it is really gorgeous and perfect for relaxing by the pool or the beach and it was also really comfortable!

As seen in a previous post, this gorgeous aqua blue top is from New Look in Dubai and cost me the equivalent of about €10? maybe? I am really not good at remembering the Dubai price and then converting it! But anyhow, I wore this gorgeous cami top so many times while I was over there, because as seen in previous items, it is really light and was perfect for the 40 degree heat. Its a bit creased from the suitcase in this pic (sorry!) but I realllllyyy love this top!

Another H&M item that I adore are these trousers. They were the equivalent of about €15 and I bought them in Muskat. I never usually buy trousers like this (I have a thing for jeans!) but now I think I have found my new love. They have a gorgeous black and white pattern on, they are really fitted (they make your butt look really good btw, not gonna lie) and they are sorta cut off at the bottom. Perfect for middle eastern weather and customs, they were the perfect pair of trousers for me.  I highly recommend these, I love them to bits. Buy them and you won't regret it!

My first pair of genie pants. Another pair of trousers from H&M in Muskat that have changed my life. These are the most comfortable pair of trousers I have ever worn and I don't know why I have never bought a pair before. The colours are beautiful, the style fits so well, the material is super light which makes them breezy in the hot weather and they are just amazing. For the equivalent of under €15, they are a holiday must have.

My super tight, super short shorts from Forever 21 in Muskat. I have never owned a pair of super tight super short shorts in my life and I was like, why not? You're only young once! So I bought these on sale for the equivalent of about €5. I really can't wait to wear these out. Now what to wear with a cute pattern like this?

Yet another stunning kimono. You guys must be sick of looking at them on my blog! This one is from Forever 21 in Dubai. I think it would be the equivalent of about €12? Once again I absolutely love the pattern and the sheer material is light and comfortable. This really could go with just about anything.

Another H&M item. The only shops they have over there are New Look, Forever 21, H&M and lots of expensive designer stores! But anyways these earrings were about €5, and I thought they are perfect for classy-ing up an outfit, and I also bought them as possible debs earrings. I have seen earrings a similar style so many times and have wanted a pair so bad, and now I can finally say I have a pair! Yay! I am so excited to wear these!

Another pair of earrings. I forgot I bought these in Ireland in Penneys for like €1.50 at the same time I bought my pineapple playsuit. But I had to include them! I love them so much! The design is gorgeous on them, they look very vintage and rustic I think! :)

Last but not least, I bought this gorgeous bracelet in H&M for €5. It is so me! It is really, again, vintage looking, super cute, pretty and girly. Everything I look for in fashion! I have yet to wear this but I am so excited to because I love it so much!

So there you go, all of my fashion items I bought in the Middle East! I am in love with all of them! Let me know what you think and if you have any of them. I love to hear back from you guys! I know the colours aren't exactly the same but I hope you got the idea! Shopping in the middle east in high street stores is very cheap, its a shame there aren't more. There is Zara over there also but honestly I didn't see anything I liked. They also have a lot of Victoria Secret stores but this time I didn't buy anything :(

Hope you enjoyed this post, if you have any questions or comments please feel free to ask! :)
Thank you for reading!
