New York City Fashion

As I said in my last post, I went to NYC for my birthday. i just wanted to put up some photos of the fashion I wore over the few days I was there. My camera quality is bad in a few photos cos I couldn't find my camera at that time, so I had to use my iPhone which wasn't best for the moment. But anyhow, here goes!

Victorias Secret NYC

So I went to New York for my 18th birthday and I took a little trip to Victoria's Secret. All I can say is wow. The whole place was gorgeous. Pink, feathers, diamonds and sparkle. It truly is a girls world! I wasn't able to buy much because I didn't realise that one simple bra would cost me $50... But I did buy 2 cute pairs of underwear that are sooooo comfy and beautiful. Next time I go to NYC (trust me there will be a next time) I will know to save up a few hundred dollars to splash in VS. But here are some photos of the store and my purchases. I will put up a NYC post and maybe a NYC shopping haul post? Not that I bought loads... Anyhoo! Enjoy xx

These are what i bought :) I think they were about $15 each? But I loveeeee them!

Thank you for shopping at Victoria's Secret NYC.

Spring Makeup

So I decided to do a small makeup tutorial. I have no idea what I'm doing but I'll get better at editing lol.

So basically I wanted to do a shimmery, spring eye and a peachey lip. I have hooded eyes, so I find it hard to do an eyemakeup look that is different and that you can actually see. So here goes! I put up some progression pictures and some photos of the products I used! Enjoy!

Skin
1. I started off with simple rich moisturizer on my skin. Place a pea sized amount onto your hand and rub gently onto skin.
2. I applied a small layer of Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse in shade Ivory 10 to my skin with a foundation brush.
3. I powdered my skin with Natural Collection from boots in shade WARM.
4.I used Rimmel blush on my cheeks. Sorry the colour has faded out on the container so I cant tell you what shade it is!
Eyes
1. I used the isadora pallete seen in my photo to create the eye shadow look in the picture (middle row left). I used a light gold in the corner, an orange-peach colour on the lid and a dark brown-orange in the crease. Highlighter just below the eyebrows.
2. I applied a thin layer of liquid liner to the top lid with Barry M liquid liner.
3. Wild Mega Volume mascara by Max Factor is used on the top and bottom eyelashes.
Lips
1. I applied Clinique's Chubby stick moisturizing lip colour balm to my lips in shade 04 mega melon. This is my favourite spring/summer lipstick as it keeps lips moisturised and the colour is natural and beautiful.
2. I used Rose Vaseline over this to smooth-en my lips out.

So yeah I think that's it! Hope you enjoyed my crappy tutorial! Hope this helps other girls with hooded eyelids too! Please send me some comments and images of other girls with hooded eye problems and how they sort it! Oh! And any tips on how to layout these tutorials :)

Thanks!
Lucy xx

My 18th

This is just a photo of me and my boyfriend going out for my 18th.

Shopping Haul

Had a tiny bit of a shopping haul. Nothing was that expensive thank god but I used these to go out for my 18th birthday on saturday night.

The black peplum top is from Primark (€9-I think!) and the shorts are also Primark and were €11. I wore the black top with leather leggins from Zara which I will post also. The shorts are perfect for the beautiful weather we're having and will go with nearly anything :D

I was going to wear a dress on saturday night, so I used the exfoliator from The Body Shop, then used the body butter and then I used the Cocoa Brown tan. First of all, the exfoliator is amazing. Your skin feels super soft after using it, especially combined with the body butter. The Body Shops products never fail to make me happy :D So afterwards I used the Cocoa Brown tan. You need to use a tanning mit for this 'New Dark Shade Tan Mousse'. It isn't streaky at all and has a really natural glow afterwards. Personally, I have quite olive toned skin, so it looked pretty natural on me and I left it on for about 2 hours before washing it off. If you have lighter skin I am not sure this would work on your skin, as it is quite a dark shade. But I have used other tans and this is the best one that I have used. I highly recommend this at only €6.95 in Primark

Finally, I got the Katy Perry perfume 'Killer Queen - Oh so Sheer' for €16 in The Perfume Shop. It is so fruity, sweet and lovely, perfect for the spring months. I also got Max Factor lipstick in the shade Firefly 755 from Boots. But I unfortunately don't remember the price. I haven't used it yet but I will write a review soon.

Find these products online....
I couldnt find the exact same leggings but these are close enough!

These are the kitten heels that cost me €1 in primark. I have tiny feet (uk 4) so it's pretty easy to find shoes my size in the sales. But I love these shoes. They brighten up any outfit and are actually really comfortable. They never rub your feet and the heel is low enough that it doesn't make walking awkward after a night out.

Here is just the shorts and the other items from my previous blogpost. I love this outfit so much!
 Fashion Post:
Spring has arrived and summer is on its way! In Ireland, it's been pretty warm, but not warm enough to bare some skin!

So I got these gorgeous shorts from Penneys/Primark for €11 (I think!) for my birthday last week. They are absolutely gorgeous and extremely comfortable. I am not sure if you can tell from the photo but they are black with daisies printed on them. They can go with most things to make it look summery. And for a pair of shorts that cheap they make any outfit look a bit brighter!

The jumper is from primark also, €5, you can't tell but I am wearing red kitten heels, which I also got from primark for €1. Yes you heard me, €1! The necklace was a birthday present from my friends. It's from River Island and I have no idea how much it was!

Here is a closeup of the necklace :)

I will put up photos of the shorts and the shoes in the morning

Goodnight!

Okay anyone reading this, it has come to my attention that there is an illness that many people suffer from, including myself, called ODD. ODD stand for Obsessive Donut Disorder...

Celebrities such as Taylor Swift, and one of my favourite fashion bloggers, leblogdebetty, also have ODD.

To be honest, I don't want to cure ODD, its nice to have :) Just thought I would give you info about it and let others know they're not alone :)
