DIY Crop Tops!!!

So I found some old swimming costumes of my little sisters that were way too small for any of us to fit in, so I decided to do some DIY. Its summer, I have a lot of free time so why not? These crop tops are super cute! They're a perfect idea for going on holidays or just for chilling at home during the summer months.  Swimming costumes are good to use as they are designed to cling to your skin and you don't need to stitch up at the bottom of the top.

I am really not good at doing step by step details of things, I always feel like I ramble on and make no sense, so I will do my best to help.

Step 1: Measure the swimming costume up against you, and in one side of the costume, cut a small hole at the height you want your crop top to be. Measure with a ruler or something with a straight edge, where the opposite side would match up to and cut a small hole in the other side.

Step 2: Cut across from one hole to the other. Do this on the front and back of the costume. Make sure to stretch the material so that it is a straight line with no rugged edges.

Step 3: Trim off any jagged edges. And voila, you are ready to go!

You can now wear this as a crop top for going out or just a casual top with high waisted jeans or something! Or you could also use the bottoms and make a 2 piece swimming costume! It is up to you what you decide to do with it! Get creative!

Got an old t-shirt of your Dads? Brothers? Boyfriends? They're going to throw it out? STOP THEM NOW! You can reuse it and make a cool crop top!

Step 1: Mark off where you want to crop top to end and make your cut off marks an inch or so below that.

Step 2: Repeat the steps from the first crop tops.

Step 3:  Cut a line, about an inch in length, in the middle on the front, just above the line you have just cut. This is to be used to tie the other sides across.

Step 4: Take 2 bits of material from either side of the shirt, and tie a not through the hole you have just cut down the middle of the top. And there you go, a cute crop top! PS. excuse lines on my belly, I was sitting over for ages cutting the tops lol. But who cares? ;)

Thanks everyone, hope you enjoyed this post! If you recreate these looks, put a photo on instagram and tag me in it! Username, xxxlmgigglesxxx , surprise surprise!!

Avene, Vichy, Shiseido and No.7 Skincare Products Samples

Woooooo! So, I knew I had forgotten something to tell you guys. I was given some samples to try out from 4 different brands, Avene, Vichy, Shiseido and No.7. I cannot thank each of these brands enough for the products! So many skin products and not a penny spent (the pros to being a blogger!). I have been way too busy with exams to try them out yet, but definitely over summer I will be trying out all of these products. I have used both the Avene and the Vichy thermal waters before and I can say now that they are both amazing. I have verrrryyyy dry skin and just a few spritzes of these and I feel so hydrated.

Sorry for this crappy post! Just thought I would let you all know about the lovely products I have been sent. Thank you so much for giving me them! I cannot wait to try them out! :D

Thanks guys,

Shopping Haul!

Hello my lovelies. So my lovely mum took me shopping on Saturday as a tiny break from my exams. I had a little bit of a haul and put the things I like the most in this post! I didn't spend much at all and I got loads of lovely bits. The photo above is the outfit I wore shopping. Kimono was bought in h&m in New York, shorts are Primark and top is New Look.

First of all, I went to my one and only, Penneys. Or as my followers outside of Ireland say, Primark. You can't go in and not buy anything, that would be a crime! So I got the pack of bobbins that is like €1.50, I got some plain black running shorts for €4, I got my boyfriend a mug with a pug on it for €2 (we are both obsessed with pugs) and then I got the prettiest pop up linen basket as seen below. I have been looking for one for ages and this one is so cute and it matches the theme of my bedroom perfectly! Also, I will possibly be moving out in September for college and I thought this would be perfect in a little apartment bedroom. Okay, I also got this gorgeous white hippy top.  It cost me €11 and I am in love with it. I will probs be wearing it all summer. It's just so cute and so me! Okay so I also got 2 necklaces, the green one was €5 and the colourful one was €6! :) They are as cheap as they come guys! And they're so pretty and will make any outfit pop! I really can't wait to wear them.  I think that was all I got in there but I can't remember! Anyways!

I went into boots and got a few things also. I got this Garnier deodorant for €2 something on offer. I have used it once and so far so good! I am really loving Garnier products at the moment. I think they have a new business plan or something because they're releasing loads of new products at the minute, there are loads of offers on everywhere for their products and they are all really working well for me! Whatever you're doing guys, keep it up! My Mum bought me the Rimmel sun shimmer instant tan. I have not used it yet, but I hope it's good! I have used one of their tans before and it made my skin go red after a few minutes so I hope they have improved their products and this mishap won't happen again! And the last things I got were some Herbal Essences hair masks. I have used the purple wash out mask before and it is amazing. It makes your hair super soft and shiny for days. I highly recommend you use this product with the matching shampoo and conditioner. I may do a before and after with the hair mask?? Yeah guys? ;) Okay so the red mask is my sisters, I have never used it and I bought the little purple one for the first time and am yet to try it out. Each of these products cost €6.49 on their own. But this is the best part. They had an AMAZING offer on these products. The 3 of them cost me €6.50. For 1c extra, I got 2 more products. The offer ends sometime in JULY so ladies, GET YOUR BUTTS TO BOOTS AND GET THESE PRODUCTS. Seriously they are amazing.

Okay, I saved the best till last. I went into tkmaxx and found the most beautiful kimono. It was €27, I think. They only had it in medium, and I am quite tiny but I had to get it! I am so in love with it! This photo really does not do it justice, it is so colourful and feels beautiful. The black detail on it is velvet and the rest is sheer and just so soft. I love it love it love it! I don't want to wear it out incase I ruin it! It looks like it is vintage and beautiful and its just so perfect. I have a current obsession with kimonos so I was pretty excited when I found this. But because I am such a good girl and I am doing so well in my exams, my beautiful mum bought it for me... <3 This gorgeous kimono will make any outfit pop!

Sorry this has been so long! I am very happy with my shopping trip. I think that is everything I bought. Ah well. Hope you enjoyed this post!

Thanks,

My Week in Fashion

Here's just a couple of instaposts of outfits I wore this week or was just planning. I bought the shorts in the first photo in New york in Forever 21, the top is new from Penneys/Primark. If you want to know where I got anything else just let me know!! :) Sorry this is short, still have one exam left! Just a chemistry exam on Tuesday for my leaving certificate exams and then I am finished school forever! So scary!

Anyways, only 2 more days and then my summer starts! I hope to do loads of fashion posts over summer as I am going to music festivals, concerts, hopefully abroad with my friends and I may also be working in the middle east for 2 weeks! Really exciting summer planned so far! And it also the first time I'm able to go out as an 18 year old! Even though I turned 18 in April, I have been studying for my exams and haven't really been out properly yet! :) Sorry this post has gotten so random...

Hope you enjoyed these and as I said, more posts are to come and comment if you want to know where I got any of these products!

Thanks guys,

Garnier Skin Naturals Review

So my mum picked me up these in the shops on offer so I thought I would give them a try. I heard everyone is going on about the Garnier Micellar water (which I have yet to try!), but these 2 products are just amazing. There is the Softening Cleansing Lotion and the Softening Toner.  All I can say about these is wow. I have been using them for about a week and they definitely do what they say on the tin!

Naturally, I have extremely dry skin. To a point where I have to get a moisturiser for dry skin, foundation for dry skin and I am constantly using thermal water. But after using these 2 products for a week, my skin is nearly normal, only a tiny bit of dryness, and the added bonus, its a soft as silk. No lie. People are stroking my face.

Firstly, I use the Softening Cleansing Lotion. Apply a small amount to a cotton pad and gently wipe all over your skin.  It removes makeup, including waterproof and thick black eyes, and it does exactly what it says on the bottle, 'Goodbye dry!'. This product is enriched with Cherry Tree and Moringa extracts, and its velvety lotion with no greasy feeling leaves skin feeling comfortable, soft and fresh. It even smells beautiful on your skin! This is definitely my new go-to makeup remover!

After I remove my makeup, I use the Softening Toner. Previously, I have been using a toner by No.7, which was still amazing, but the Garnier toner is a perfect match for my skin. Again, apply to a cotton pad and gently cleanse your skin, applying extra care to the most sensitive and dry areas. Also enriched with cherry tree and moringa extracts, it soothes dry skin and its soft and velvety texture leaves your skin toned, perfectly cleansed and supperrrrrrrrr soft!

Not only does it help my dry skin and leave it flawlessly smooth, it has also reduced redness in my face. Usually areas around my nose and cheeks would be quite red, but these products have reduced it dramatically. In one week. No talk of a lie. I am in love with this product and I recommend to anyone with normal to dry skin. You can pick it up in any drugstore and I am pretty sure my mum picked it up in Tesco! She said it wasn't expensive at all, but I am really sorry I forgot to ask mum exactly how much it was! I am sure it is no more than €5/6!

Thanks for reading! I hope you will soon have skin as soft as mine!
